I just stumbled across an article referring to an animation I finished in March 09. It explains how inflatable armor responds to an IED explosion. I did not post about it since I’m under a NDA. However, since the animation is now out in the public, I felt I should express my delight in seeing it “in the wild.” The project was one I learned a lot from.
I used a combination of Maya, Photoshop, After Effects, and Avid to create the animation.
Had to post about the awesome stuff I found today. We went over to a friend of a friend’s house to look at a dining room set they were giving away. There was also a bunch of random stuff everywhere that they were trying to get rid of too. Jarrett and I browsed through but didn’t want anything. However, Lila, Jarrett and her friend were talking and I noticed a Sega Genesis box in the corner. It had 2 NES controllers inside! Such a find caught our interest and we left with a trashbag full of stuff.
Yesterday night we went out to a little concert at a local coffee shop. Our friend Tim was playing so we went to show our support. We’re soo hip and indie!
Heading back to Atl after a late meeting in Athens. I wanted to post some photos about a house we went and looked at. The inside would have to be completely redone so we decided to move on even though it was very very cheap.

In other news, our offer was declined and another was accepted =(. Oh well, back to looking for a home.
I’m listening to the thunder as I write this. It’s raining extremely hard outside and has done so for the last hour. Some bright lightning made me decide to shut off Gears of War rather than risk a fried tv and 360. Dinner’s almost ready and I thought I’d write a quick something. I’m pretty exhausted from the grind today and it’s nice to shut everything off and just listen to the rain. Jarrett and I have decided to put an offer down on a house not too far from us. We’re very very excited about it. I’ll be sure to post all about it as I want to seriously document our first house together (maybe even video!). Something else I’ve wanted to create is a video of “A Day at Work with Jared.” The idea is to create a DVD that I could show to my kids in 20 years. Another project that has me stoked is creating a sword umbrella (sword hilt + umbrella = sword umbrella) check out my DIY page for specifics. Dinner’s ready and the lightning has died down. Guess that means I’m through writing for now.
